I offer personalised sessions to help couples prepare for breastfeeding their baby, whether this is exclusively or combined with formula feeding.
Just as having a positive birth experience is a really affirming start to being a parent, having support for breastfeeding can be invaluable for self-esteem and self-confidence in the early days of parenthood. On the face of it, breastfeeding seems natural, as easy as falling off a log! Take one baby, take one breast and – hey presto! – successful breastfeeding follows.
Learning about feeding your baby before they’re born is really important and this bespoke service is one where you can set the content and the pace, ensuring that the areas you want to focus on the most are the ones we spend most time on.
You may want support in person after your baby is born and I offer that as well, being able to spend the time you need to find the positions that are most helpful and comfortable for you. Having worked with new parents for more than 25 years, I am extremely well placed to support you as you prepare to breastfeed and through those early days, too. Working with more than 300 couples each year and hearing their feeding stories in detail, I have a wealth of knowledge to equip you with the skills and understanding you need as you approach feeding your baby.
